The Best Print on Demand Products and Niches to Design for in March 2025 for Spring Q2 Sales
Well hey there Rockstar!
As we head into March, I want you to be prepared and geared up for what's coming over the next few months. Personally, this is my favorite time of year to be a POD Business owner. I call it "2nd Christmas" or "The Springtime Goldmine" because, other than Christmas, these next few months are the busiest for Print on Demand owners. Personally, I bring in 6 figure sales in April, May, and June ALONE!! Check it out 👇👇👇
To cash in on this “Spring Goldmine” you have to start to do the prep now in March to make sure your listings and designs/products are set up for success!
So in this blog post, I will spill some major tea and let you know EXACTLY what you need to be designing for now and what you should be prepping for in the next few months to come.
But before we dive in let me introduce myself!
I’m Shay Lynn, the creator of The Print on Demand Playbook, a top 1% Etsy Seller, and Multi-6 Figure Print on Demand Business owner. Check it out 👇👇👇👇

#1 EASTER
Alright, although this blog is coming out in late February/early March 2025, Easter is seriously right around the corner, and if you haven't started prepping your designs and listings, now is the time! But here’s the key and this is VERY IMPORTANT, don’t just focus on Easter itself. Yes, there is a drive for “My First Easter and Easter Decor” products however, the real opportunity here is in religious gifts in general. These products not only sell during the holiday but can bring in sales year-round!
You want your listings live at least a month before Easter, so start brainstorming and getting on it now, like right now! The competition for Easter-themed gifts and decor can be high, so think beyond bunnies and eggs. Instead, focus on faith-based products with inspirational messages, scripture-based designs, and personalized religious gifts. These have potential to sell all year and bring in serious cash!
I have found that customers are looking for meaningful gifts that celebrate faith and spirituality. For this niche, think of products like: Bible Verse Gifts, Christian Apparel (shirts, hoodies, hats), Prayer Journals & Notebooks, Scripture Wall Art & Home Decor, Baptism Gifts, First Communion & Confirmation Gifts, Tote Bags with Bible Quotes, Wooden Crosses on Cutting Boards, Religious Doormats, Glass Coffee Cups with Bible Verses, Gifts for Pastor, and Religious Gifts for Her.
Remember, don’t put all your eggs in one basket (Easter pun intended). You want a nice variety of products that can sell for other holidays as well. Think religious gifts for birthdays, baptisms, confirmations, weddings, and everyday faith-based gifting! Be sure to keep this in mind when conducting your own market research, product validation, and creating your own designs.
#2 VACATION SEASON
Alright, vacation season is about to be in full swing! People are constantly planning trips and looking for fun themed gifts and matching gear for the next months to come!
If you haven’t started creating vacation-inspired products, now is the best time! Vacation-themed gifts are a huge revenue opportunity, and by focusing on specific types of trips, you can stand out with unique and highly giftable products. Some trips I have found success with are: Spring Break & Girls’ Trips, Bachelorette & Girls’ Wine Trips, Family Cruises & Reunions, Camping/Road Trips, National Park Trips, Honeymoon & Couples' Getaways, and Backpacking Adventures.
This niche is huge and you can incorporate so many different types of products (not just apparel). To stand out in a sea of competition, you want to avoid competitve products and think outside the box a little bit. Some ideas of different products other than apparel to get your creative juices flowing are: Destination Location Bags, Personalized Name Beach Towels, Custom Travel Mugs & Tumblers, Stickers, Vacation journals, keep sake vacation gifts, Candles, Makeup bags, Dad Hats, Bucket hats, Blankets, and Bumper Stickers.
#3 MOTHER’S DAY
Ok, Mother's Day is coming. Seriously, this is going to sneak up on you faster than you may think. Every year I always see this coming on the calendar and go into full panic mode because it comes so quickly! Mother’s Day/Gifts for Mom is a BIG MONEY maker on Etsy. It's literally almost here so you need to make sure you're getting all of your design/product ideas together and get these listings up pretty soon. You want your listings live at least a month before so if you haven't started do so, now is the time. Focus on products that are a little less saturated to help you break through the competition. Heartwarming messages, personalized gifts, and floral designs do really well in this category.
Don't forget people are looking for ALL sorts of "Mama" gifts so think outside the box! Some examples to help you get your creative gears spinning are: Plant Mama Gifts, Dog Mama Gifts, Gifts for Grandma, Mother in Law Gifts, First Mother's Day, New Mom Gifts, Labor gifts, Pregnancy Announcement Gifts, and Baby Shower Gifts. Also, think of all the different types of hobbies and interests Mommies might be into and incorporate this into your shop as well (book lover gifts, gardening gifts etc)!
Products that I have found to be successful for this niche (that aren't shirts and sweatshirts): pillows, blankets, wine glasses, bags (tote, weekender, makeup), candles, phone cases, hats, mugs, glass coffee holders with bamboo top, matching family outfits, journals, cards, plant pots, cutting boards, and baby onesies.
#3 GRADUATION SEASON
Although there is a "graduation season" (people start buying grad gifts in April for May/June graduations), this niche is also considered an "Evergreen" niche. Evergreen for all you newbies out there means the product can sell year round. So although there is one distinct graduation season, people graduate from school, academies, programs, trade schools, and all sorts of things ALL THE TIME!!!
Don't just think college and high school, think Police Academy, Fire Academy, Military Graduation, Grad Gifts for Nurses or Drs, Grad gifts for any type of occupation, Grad School Graduation, Master's Degree, PHD gifts, Doctoral Gifts, and Promotion Gifts.
The possibilities are endless! And the best part about this is that no matter your style, you can design for this! Masculine, feminine, retro, funky, cute, it does not matter! People are looking for ALL types of grad gifts in ALL types of styles. Products that I suggest would be: drinkware of all kinds, posters, yard signs, garden flags, banners, notebooks, bags (all kinds), hats, candles, ANY type of apparel, gift wrapping paper, and group shirts/gifts, journals, really anything goes in this category if marketed to the right audience!
#5 FATHER’S DAY
This isn't for awhile but I just wanted to put this on your radar! This is Dad's time to shine! Again, don't just think "Father's Day Gifts" get creative with it! Think about what Dad likes to do or who these gifts are from like: Fishing Gifts for Dad, Golfing Gifts, Hiking Gifts For Him, Dad Joke Gag Gifts, RV Camping Gifts, Gifts For Boat Owners, Gifts for Grandpa, Dad with Daughters, Gift from daughter for Dad, New Dad, First Time Dad, and Dad Gifts From Kids. When doing research keep in mind there are different variations for the word "Dad" and "Grandpa" (think Pop Pop). Also, I have found that funny and masculine gifts work a little better than sentimental ones for this holiday.
This niche is in my wheelhouse and I have found immense success with the following products: die cut metal signs (for advanced designers), doormats, cutting boards, pint glasses, hoodies, hats, blankets, pillows, towels, clipboards, keychains, journals, coasters, underwear, thermos, aprons, posters, yard signs, bumperstickers, garden signs, and underwear (yes, underwear haha)!
Conclusion
Phew! I think that covers all the points I wanted to hit. I hope this helps you on your Print on Demand journey this 2025 spring season.
This time of year can be equally as lucrative as Christmas, so knowing the best niches to get into and a good game plan set into action will set you up for success!
